JP Custom Graphics New Facility Off Tea Exit

Established in 2001, JP Custom Graphics has consistently been the go to company for Corporate Co., Small Business Owners, Race Car Owners, Schools…and the list goes on. JP Custom Graphics was initially established by Jon (JP) and wife Amanda Powell. Seeing a hole that needed to be filled, JP Custom Graphics moved the operation to a 5200sq ft. facility right off the Tea Exit and quickly became the first company to offer a true “one stop shop” in this area. With the addition of full color printing, screen printing, embroidering and our full line of promotional products a customer can start here and finish here. Customers can first start with us on a new logo design, then to business cards, then flyers, then promotional products, then to vehicle lettering, then to signs, and then to all our apparel printing services, all in one store. JP Custom Graphics continues to plug away and stay busier than ever thanks to their great customer base and unmatched customer service. Starting out, JP Custom Graphics just offered regular cut vinyl, 8 years later JP Custom Graphics offers more than any of our competitors and typically at a lower price with a faster turn around, and remember its all in one shop, here at JP Custom Graphics!

What’s the JP stand for….I get that allot. By now you understand its Jon Powell, and a little known fact that I acquired that nickname, “JP” in college.

Since I’m the founder and President of JP Custom Graphics I can say this, that I’m a top notch self taught Graphics Designer. At 35 years of age I’ve been in the custom vehicle industry for 20+ years and a graphics artist for 8 years. I owe allot of what I know today to my mother and father who ran a very successful automotive business in a small town just like we here at JP Custom Graphics are doing today. I’ve been a husband for 5+ years to my wonderful wife Amanda, we have one young boy that’s 2 years old, Raleigh, who is the love of our life. When you come to the shop you will get the distinct pleasure of meeting Sturgis our family dog (weimeriner) who goes to work with me every day. I love to spend time with family and friends, building a successful business, golfing, camping, riding the Harley, snowmobiling out west (way out west) and anything that has to do with vehicles!! I serve on the Board of Directors for the Tea Economic Development Committee; I’m a member of the MID Media Group, Advertising Network of Owners and a member of First Lutheran Church.

Stan Wissink

Graphics Designer

Stan joined the JP Custom Graphics team in 2008. He has worked in the sign and graphics industry for 4+ years. Stan got his start helping his dad Scotty letter vehicles at his body shop in Rock Rapids, IA. He went to Southeast Technical Institute, majoring in graphic design, and graduated in 2004 with a degree in graphic communications. Stan is a vehicle graphic and race car graphics wiz, always staying on the cutting edge of design and production. The knowledge he has of the industry is endless. At home, Stan likes to cook with his wife Jaselyn. Every summer (7 years now) Stan and his family head to Thunder Valley Dragways to do a little competitive drag racing. He is excited to see what the future has to bring at JP Custom Graphics.

Darren Shanley

Darren has been with JP Custom Graphics since 2007 as a part time employee. Darren is currently attending SouthEast Technical Institute majoring in graphics design. Darren is a photo shop genius! He lives and breathes racing, especially the local tracks.
